People change the tt to xx so that you must start with a fresh browser window this stops the site you are going to seeing where you came from.

I assume that is to stop redirects? Most of the time, a simple copy/paste will do. Why not just make a note, maybe automatically at the top of each post, "If you're redirected, try copying and pasting into a new browser window"? That would save the poster the time of changing "tt" to "xx", and everybody else the time to change it back. BTW, I've made a few posts, and have never even thought to alter the link.

I get redirected on about 1/3 of the UNALTERED posts, and so must copy/paste anyway. However, changing xx to tt or removing spaces or what have you is annoying and time consuming. Not to waste everybody's time by being a whingeing cunt, but haven't virtually all of us solved this problem enough times so we don't need this extra aggravation? Isn't a simple note enough?

Just a thought. I won't bloviate any further than this. Thanks for a great board, and thanks to the original poster for a good post.
