As Fatso has noted in one of my posts, Firefox typically doesn't have the problems with many of the links that IE has. If you do decide to try FF, do get Noscript (from mozilla.com), which lets you decide which scripts you want to run for a given site. It speeds up page loading, and lets you save images that IE won't. Enjoy.

As an Internet user and a web developer, I don't hesitate to tell you that no browser is perfect. I agree that IE is bad, but Firefox is often strange and their picture download process (on a page or to your folder) needs to be improved. Also, it doesn't the browser settings well when you clean it up. For picture browsing, I like Opera for its "paste and go" option. It is very useful when I cut and paste links.

Thanks, all for the kind words, and thanks, MPP! I tried Opera many moons ago, but, despite being in IT at the time, was put off by the depth of configuration choices. Sometimes, I just like plug-and-pray, but Firefox seems to offer the best mix of customability and security. Cheers!
