Hi - I understand the point you are making but Spybot is only one of 4 such programmes I have running. I needed to stop the action as it was crippling my system.
I can now go back and look at it again without the whole thing freezing on me.

Hi - I have a nasty little problem. I downloaded a video file and it has corrupted my Explorer.exe so that the cpu reads the file very slowly and eats up the CPU capacity until the machine eventually crashes or runs out of resources and freezes.
