RAR is a compression file like a ZIP file.

WINRAR will open thses files. There are other programs that will do it also, but winrar is the common one. The following link will give download you a 40 day trial to winrar. After that time you will need to register it, or delete it.

or just keep running it... it never de-activates. Its a lot like winzip in that sense. I think the idea is to pay for it, or continue to be hassled until you do pay for it... much like Winzip.
